Recent capital improvements include a new cleanroom, upgraded processing equipment, enhanced automated machinery, and integrated packaging systems. These investments improve efficiency, increase production capacity, and reinforce our commitment to quality, precision, and reliable performance.
In 2020, HPK purchased a new full service 65,000 square foot facility which houses manufacturing, warehousing and corporate offices, located in Frankfort, New York.
In 2005, Anthony Liberatore retired from the disposable garment manufacturing industry and sadly, passed away in 2009. He leaves behind a legacy of both pride and tradition. Today, Michael continues the vision to become a world-wide leader in this industry, which is the driving force behind the company.
In 2003, The Company, now known as HPK Industries was established under the ownership of Michael Liberatore, the Company President. This was done to reflect the wider range of customers the company served and the expanded product offerings beyond the medical market.
By 1994, the company began to expand operations and acquired Protective Disposable Apparel Co. of Asheville, NC. This introduced new product offerings to include items designed specifically for the clean room, pharmaceutical, industrial, biotech, laboratory and the semiconductor industry.
Over the years, different waves of immigrants and refugees have evolved through work at HPK. First, workers from Vietnam in the 1980s, then from the former Soviet Union in the 1990s, and later from Bosnia in the late 90s. In the years since, many workers have hailed from as far and varied locales as Burma, Syria, and Ukraine.
In 1986, Michael Liberatore joined the company and served as the Director of Sales and Marketing and later as the company’s Vice President.
The origins of HPK Industries can be traced back to a company that began as Health-Pak Inc. and was founded in 1985 by Anthony Liberatore, a veteran of the disposable garment manufacturing industry.
Anthony’s career began in 1971 at Disposable Profiles a start-up division of the Palm Beach Corporation, a national men’s clothing manufacturer based in Cincinnati, OH. Under Anthony’s management, by 1976 Disposable Profiles grew from 6 to 300 employees manufacturing disposable PPE in Utica, NY. Disposable Profiles in the early 1980’s, relocated all their manufacturing operations from Utica, NY to Mexico.
